- When you adjust your seat pan it tilts; be sure there is no pressure behind your knees or back of thighs.
- Do not pull the seat too far forward that it puts pressure on your thighs because that will cut off circulation and your thighs and butt can tingle and go to sleep.
- When you first adjust your seat height downward, be sure your feet and legs are comfortable at about a 90-degree angle.
- Sit back in the chair and adjust the height/depth for the best lower lumbar support.
- Set a reclining chair for what’s comfortable but not so far back you put pressure on your neck muscles causing tension and strain not to mention headaches.
- If your chair offers armrest adjustments, put the height, width, and inner or outer swivel to be the best for your tasks. Some people don’t have their arms on the armrests when typing or mousing, but I do and that’s the way I set mine to my desk.
- Most chairs are made of vinyl for the mesh and foam covering. They are easy to wipe down and vacuum at least once a month.
